Xiaomi launched the MIUI 13 interface in Indonesia.
The launch of the MIUI 12 successor interface was accompanied by the release of the Redmi Note 11 series.
MIUI 13 is present for the first time in the Redmi Note 11 series trio, namely the “regular” Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.
“MIUI 13 will be present in the Redmi Note 11 series right from the moment you buy it,” explained Product Marketing Manager of Xiaomi Indonesia, Calvin at the launch of the Redmi Note 11 series, Tuesday (15/3/2022).
Furthermore, Calvin also explained the series of new features that are present in MIUI 13. There are at least four software optimizations that Xiaomi focuses on MIUI 13. The four aspects include Liquid storage, Atomized Memory, Focused Algorithms and Smart Balance.
Liquid Storage plays a role in providing optimization in the file management section. According to Calvin, cell phone use after 36 months has the potential to experience a reduction in the speed of the storage process by up to 50 percent.
However, with the presence of Liquid Storage in MIUI 13, it is claimed to be able to help optimize usage in the storage sector.
Thus, the read and write process that occurs in storage while managing files can run better.
“Compared to other Android OS, MIUI 13 can maintain read & write speeds of up to 95 percent,” said Calvin.
Atomized Memory or RAM optimization is a feature that can help manage application performance, especially applications that are actively running in the background.
Calvin explained that Atomized Memory is intended to increase RAM performance and close applications that are no longer active in the background.
As a result, this feature can provide additional space for apps that users want to open and run.
“Atomized Memory provides a smooth experience when using applications, resulting in even better background efficiency of up to 40 percent,” said Calvin.
The third feature that is present in MIUI 13, according to Calvin, can help the device in allocating resources properly to the applications that you want to open.
For example, when a user wants to run a game, Focused Algorithms can focus all of its resources on that application.
This causes the game performance to be smoother, because most of the resources have been allocated to the game.
As the name implies, the Smart Balance feature is tasked with balancing the performance of the cellphone with the efficiency of the power expended.
Smart Balance is claimed to provide good performance when running applications, but is also accompanied by power efficiency so that it can save battery usage.
“As a result, with MIUI 13, you get better durability, even up to 10 percent,” said Calvin.
In addition to providing optimization to the software, MIUI 13 also comes with a new feature called Sidebar. This feature provides quick access for users to be able to access their favorite applications.
The sidebar can be used for users who want to work multi-tasking, namely by opening two or more applications simultaneously.
Calvon added that MIUI 13 will be rolled out periodically in Indonesia starting in the first quarter of 2022. Not yet known when the next schedule for the launch of MIUI 13 in Indonesia.
