Not Wanting To Lose To Snapchat And Instagram, Tiktok Launches Stories Feature

BEIJING – The music video platform made by China, TikTok has again presented new features for its users.

By launching the stories feature or Snapchat-style stories, it allows creators to be able to realize their creative ideas through uploading photos or videos.

Unfortunately this feature is currently still in testing, and not all users have access to try this feature.

However, a TikTok representative said, if later the trial was completed, the stories feature could be enjoyed by all users.

“Currently, we are expanding the pilot, which gives content creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community,” said TikTok.

Launching from The Verge, with this new feature creators can add videos or photos to stories. Before uploading the video or photo, it can be edited using editing tools, effects, filters, and sounds.

Just like the stories feature on Snapchat, Instagram and WhatsApp, stories on TikTok will disappear after 24 hours.

To view TikTok stories, users only need to press the blue circle embedded in the profile picture. Once tapped, TikTok will immediately display the stories feed for users.

With the presence of this new feature, of course, TikTok’s popularity has skyrocketed among other social media platforms.

It was recorded that throughout 2021, TikTok succeeded in attracting users with 656 million downloads.
