JAKARTA – Not wanting to be left behind in enlivening the hybrid vehicle market in the country, Mitsubishi is reportedly conducting a study on the development of the hybrid version of the Xpander.

Director of Product Strategy Division of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) Hikaru Mii, said Mitsubishi wants to ensure consumers get the best products.

“We want to make sure that consumers benefit from this hybrid. The MMKSI study is good for this segment because we are still researching in preparing the HEV strategy in Indonesia. We realize that electric vehicles are still new to Indonesia. We want to ensure consumers get the full benefits of vehicles.” this type,” he said at the Virtual Media Gathering, Thursday (17/3/2022).

MMKSI’s step into the electrification era began with the introduction of the Mitsubishi Minicab-MiEV. This pure electric car is being tested in Greater Jakarta as a logistics operation for six months.

The Minicab-MiEV is a 4-seater, 2WD, with a range of up to 150 km and a battery capacity of 16 kWh.

This car is capable of producing 41 PS of power in the 2,500 to 6,000 rpm range and a maximum torque of 196 Nm in the 0 to 300 rpm range.

This car was first introduced at the GIIAS 2021 event and was tested by President Joko Widodo and Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
