BMW M3 Competition Successfully Secures Mandalika MotoGP Race

JAKARTA- The Official Car of MotoGP from BMW M GmbH provides two cars, namely the BMW M2 CS Racing MotoGP Safety Car starting in 2022, with a debut at the Qatar MotoGP Grand Prix.

At the Mandalika MotoGP, together with the BMW M3 Competition, the two BMW Safety Cars performed in front of 60,000 MotoGP spectators.

Both BMW Safety Cars managed to secure the Mandalika MotoGP title, especially the M3 which had several times checked the track when it was raining on the track.

President Director of BMW Group Indonesia, Ramesh Divyanathan, said that being involved in international racing events is in line with the strategy of BMW M GmbH.

“In addition to the BMW M2 CS Racing and also the BMW M3 Competition, BMW Indonesia supports the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) to succeed the Indonesian MotoGP by becoming an Official Mobility Partner by bringing the BMW 330e M Sport,” said Ramesh, Sunday (20/3/ 2022).

The BMW 330e M Sport electric vehicle has become a special MGPA Safety Car for the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit.

This BMW Safety Car has also been used at the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP Test as the final pre-season test ahead of this MotoGP season and the MotoGP event itself which will be held on March 18-20 March.

“BMW Indonesia is proud to be the Official Mobility Partner for the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit and continues to have a very good relationship with MGPA. We hope that this series of initiatives can once again prove BMW Indonesia’s commitment to support the development of Motorsport in Indonesia and the collaboration between BMW Indonesia and MGPA can continue to be strengthened in the future,” said Ramesh.
